What We Know So Far - Egregores

One confusion that we've had cleared up at 2nd Mael is that Eternals are not tied to the nations. The confusion comes from somethings that is currently referred to by PD as Egregores. Each nation has one of these...

Apparently these are a sentient (or semi-sentient) construct that embodied the spirit of the nation. These were created via a Sirrocan ritual at the creation of the Empire to ensure that each culture remains unique and distinct.

These constructs actually control whether or not you are worthy of your nation.. and it has the power to accept you as a member of the nation, or deny you. You're birthplace or bloodline means little in terms of this... instead it is your deeds and actions that count. So if you wish to join a nation... you need to prove that you are a worthy follower of the relevant culture. Or oppositely, if you fail to behave as expected by your nation, you could effectively be exiled.

Not linked in yet, but by checking out the "Recent Changes" section you can find links to the work in progress on Egregores... so far we are a little less developed than some of the others.

The Egregore pages aren't linked/have been pulled because that material's not finished yet, so I wouldn't draw any conclusions from what's there as it's subject to change.
