I'm Darren,
Currently playing Baron Lorenzo Nuvolari of Flambard in Maelstrom, and Darian of the Eyes of Darius for Odyssey.

For Empire, my current plan is to play Zendrik, Archmage of the Convocation of Urizen.

Hi there, I'm Giles... also known as Daisho Novak on the Maelstrom field. I've also volunteered for the Empire Art Department, producing some illustrations for Dawn and Marches.

I have just a floating concept at the moment that I'm mulling over with Osiron/Orison (sic) as a possible nation among others for its foundation, the basic jist is a group of battle mages plus heavily armoured minons. It depends a lot on the flavour of the briefs but I like the idea of playing a fire mage, in a similar vein to a Warhammer Bright Wizard and having the other "elemental" themes covered.

Hi, I'm Sam. I play Cartwright in Maelstrom in Havoc. I'm really interested in playing an Orisoni mage, and a healer in particular. I have some ideas for things to do in the Conclave, ideas for rituals and ideas for factions within the conclave itself. I would be glad to take perhaps a librarian type role within Orison itself.

I don't really know about names yet, so I'll wait for a consensus on naming conventions before I take a name that doesn't fit.

Hi, I'm Dave Jones... I play Tal Rufen of the Lower City in Flambard at Maelstrom (and very little else since work took me abroad).

I, too, was considering the Warmage option but with an emphasis on campaign issues rather than battle-magics. So wondering about seer/predition/buffing magics followed by a battlefield roll in the spotting/generalship role rather than front line stomping (though I have ideas about staff use and/or archery on the battlefield which probably wont survive contact with the published ruleset).

heya folks I'm Lee, I did a couple of maelstrom events but played nobody of any consequence (I.e steve, the confused pesant with a stick) so that I could get the feel for the game and fests. In Empire I'll jump right in and I'll be playing a devoutly ambitions mage who will probably start with points in ritual magic as fitting the Urizen brief but then branch out into other forms. goal for the moment is head of the conclave if there will be such a possition, or member of the ruling council if thats what they opt for. -my aim is to defy many LARP power hungry conventions, and most mage conventions, and share some power, and ensure an open communication and sharing of knowledge between the members of the conclave.

Thinking of playing a Sentinel with a smattering of magic and seeing how well I do in the military game. Would quite like to get involved in the Realms and archaeology bits as well.

Darren seduced me at the last Mael, and I'm thinking of playing a high lineage Briar mage - forwards with the struggle between rationality and impulsiveness! (and acceptance and rejection).

Hi my name is Colin, I've been roleplaying for quite some time through various systems, I've been thinking alot about want I'd like to try to in the system.

In most systems it feels like I'm either forced into combat or laminated arms race, both at the expense of roleplay, but its just the way the systems work, still I'm looking forward to this system and want to steer dramatically from the first two and focus on roleplay.

What I want to play really depends on if I can find some like minded people I want to play a spire of Artisan Architects, focused on creating items and giving them to people we believe to be nodes.

Obviously playing a character in a group like that isn't for everyone, but still the roleplay would be awesome, we'd have to go out throughout the nations and the imperial structures finding people we believe are not only pivotal but also having a similar objects to our spire and the Urizen as a whole.

On the other hand if I can't find people who'd like to do something like that, then a mage, interested in the theory and keeping track of the conclave.

I didn't play anything at Maelstrom but have been LARPing for almost 25 years in systems of all sizes and designs and hoping to get a good game out of Empire and in particular Urizen. Not fully decided on concept yet although drawn a lot more towards the political aspects of the game as we currently understand them than anything else. Hoping to find a group at some point too.

I'm Matt. I played in Maelstrom but never as anyone well known, I crew at Odyssey so you may have fought against or alongside me at various points and I am a regular attendee and currently a ref of Durham Treasure Trap.

I'm really looking to get immersed in the world of Empire and help others immerse by playing a patron of the arts. The goal is to organise cultural events from concerts, to art galleries, to poetry readings and whatever else I can come up with that celebrate and share the different cultures on the field.
If this would fit with any of the existing groups particularly please shout out as it'll probably be easier not to be flying completely solo.

p.s. probably a cambian lineaged if this is a deal breaker for any group.

Well the academy concept is to have a number of scholars who are particularly advanced in their field. If you don't mind the possibility of ending up with students you need to teach in the ways of the arts you could come join us as a professor of art type role? (I think, prob should check with group leaders, but it sounds like something we'd have)
